Christmas Eve
Well, today is Christmas Eve. It has been an amazing year and I can't believe it's almost over. Yesterday, we watched "Little Women." How I love that movie. It is my favorite Christmas movie. Every time I see it, I enjoy the love that the sister showed to each other, The excitement of Joe, The humbleness and Love of Meg, The kindness of Beth, and the Artist in Amy. It reminds me of my sisters and I.
I can not believe how much Anna has grown. She has been doing public school and has really
enjoyed it. I miss her everyday she is gone and I look forward to seeing her when she comes home.
Oh Sarah. How I love your cheerfulness. You have so much grown up and I have truly enjoyed being your room mate.
And my Alli, who is so much like Amy in "Little Women"
You are SO beautiful, and I have loved taking pictures of you as you have grown up.
My parents!! How I love your smiles.
Dad, for your sarcasm and gentleness.
Mom, for you amazing love and understanding.
How I hope when I am older, I have your characteristics.
How I am so thankful for my seven wonderful siblings.
Merry Christmas Eve to all.

Winter in Wylie
Well, winter is here and I have rather enjoyed it. It has gotten very cold and we are blessed with a warm fireplace to keep us warm. We had a winter storm hit us on Thursday night and Friday morning. Our electricity went out at 7am. Mama, my sister, and I lit oil lamps that mama has been collecting and papa tended to the fire. Our stove was electric so we couldn't make any breakfast so we used our stove that kept us very warm. We took our cold food outside on the back porch and kept busy.
It was wet and slippery outside. Our trees were bent over because of the water that froze into ice on every branch. Some broke and branches fell off.
It was so much fun living like the old pioneer day. I hope that other people are safe and warm.

Mama made breakfast for papa on our heating stove and I made grits for my sisters.
On of our oil lamps. Sarah loves to read so I had to capture this picture.
It reminds me of the pioneer days, like "Little House on the Prairie"

Visiting with Tatyana
So this week we decided to surprise Allli and have her sister Tatyana with her boyfriend
come over and spend a day with us. Everybody knew except Alli. She later figured it out by looking at mom's phone and seeing the text message. Her face lit up with joy and she started jumping up and down and doing cartwheels in the kitchen. Her and Sarah both ran down the drive way to wait for her to get here. She was so Happy and I could see it in her eyes. I am so glad for you my sister and hope you had a great time. Sisters FOREVER. |
So Beautiful. |
